Our Community Hub
Our new Community Hub is located at 1A Limetree Avenue, Ballycraigy Estate, Muckamore
It is unique in design as community hubs go. External walls are made from prefabricated metal panels making it virtually vandal proof. Internal Insulation is extremely high which coupled with roof solar panels and infrared heaters should keep electricity usage as low as possible.
It has a central café style meeting area where people of all ages can come to socialise and make new friends. A dedicated training room provides opportunities for a wide range of courses to be offered in small focused groups.
The office can also be used for one-to-one consultation when needed.
Opening Hours
Unfortunately, the Hub cannot be made available to the public until the current Covid 19 restrictions are eased.
When normal socialising is permitted we plan to open as follows:
- Café area Monday to Friday 9 am to 1 pm for individuals to meet socially, rest of week by arrangement for group meetings afternoons and evenings.
- Training room as required mornings, afternoons and evenings on weekdays by advance bookings.
Volunteering
The building is wholly staffed by volunteers. Anyone interested in helping with running the café area should contact the MPDA secretary for further information.
