ABOUT US
Muckamore Parish Development Association ( MPDA ) was established in 2008 by the Church of Ireland Parish of Muckamore.
We are a “not-for-profit “ Charitable Association dedicated to improving the quality of life and well-being of families and individuals living in Muckamore and the wider Borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
WHAT WE DO
Our Family Support team engage closely with families and individuals living in the local community to provide them with confidential one to one support and advice, community group activities and workshops.
Our Youth workers engage with young people where they congregate at weekends to explain the dangers to themselves and others of binge drinking and substance misuse. They also run awareness courses in local schools on excessive alcohol and drugs.
We also run a very successful children`s week each summer attracting over 100 children annually and a course for P7 children to help them make the transition from Primary to Secondary education.
We are presently working up a new programme for the elderly and lonely based around activities in or new Community Hub
